Our Job Board is a great opportunity for members to post their openings in an easy-to-use format. Employer can direct candidates to apply directly through our site or link to an external application site - you choose! After posting to our job board, your job opportunity is immediately posted to the Rockford Chamber Facebook page, widening your net for great talent. Side note: Looking for Board Talent? You're welcome to post open Board Positions to the Job Board as well! Just choose "Board Position" as your industry and away you go!

You should write an article for The Voice

Chamber Members are welcome to submit two articles per year for consideration for publication in The Voice. The Voice is distributed by mail to all Chamber members as well as throughout town in grocery stores, financial institutions, attractions, hotels, and more. All in all, we print and distribute 6,000+ copies each month as well as host an online version on our website. Articles should be educational in nature and not advertorial. Need help writing? We have a staff person who can help!

Article details: Articles are due by the 15th of the month for consideration for the next month's issue. Articles should be 750 words in length.

ATT logoThe mission of the Government Affairs Council (GAC - pronounced GACK) is to advocate for a strong and healthy business environment through influencing of legislative, economic and social policy. The Government Affairs Council brings together sectors of the business community to serve as one voice for business. All advocacy efforts made by the Chamber's Government Affairs Council are founded on encouraging business growth, promoting a strong local economy and fostering a favorable business climate in the Rockford, Illinois Region.

Rockford Chamber Members have two participation options:

Join GAC as a member

GAC Members pay for the entire year's worth of meetings in January at a discount ($200).
GAC Members receive a magnetic name tag
GAC Members can cast votes on matters of position on public policy. These votes determine the Chamber's official stance on policy and are sent to the Board of Directors for consideration.
Anyone who works for a Chamber member is eligible to join GAC as a member.

Attend individual GAC events as they are of interest

Anyone who works for a Chamber member is welcome to attend individual GAC events by registering on our website.
Individual event attendees are not permitted to vote.

Meets: Second Fridays, 7:30 a.m. at Stockholm Inn - Sponsored by AT&T
Cost? $25 per individual event or $200 for the year (10 events)

Looking to be in-the-know, meet business leaders, and network?

Check Out: Ambassadors

The volunteer arm of the Chamber. Wearing traditional red, Ambassadors serve as mentors to new members, and are active at grand openings, ribbon cuttings, open houses and Chamber events. These individuals are the first to know what business is opening in town, who's expanded, and what's going on at the Chamber. Perfect for someone in sales or fundraising, entrepreneurs, or those new to the community looking to make connections! All are welcome.

Meets: Second Thursdays, 11:45 a.m. at Various locations; participates in Ribbon Cuttings & Events as scheduled. Ambassadors self-select their opportunities.
​Cost? $18 for your nametag; $20 for lunch for monthly meetings.

All Chamber members are welcome! This opportunity is open to any Chamber member looking for networking & educational opportunities. The group meets monthly at events designed to help education business professionals on relevant and important business topics.
