The Rockford Public School District is riding a wave of momentum driven by the community’s support of an historic $139 million referendum to provide 21st Century learning environments for our students. We began our year listening to Interim Superintendent Dr. Robert Willis at the Chamber’s annual meeting highlight the district’s new “Readiness Rocks” initiatives moving our district forward.
The year will now come to a close with a new look at our school system through the eyes of our newly appointed Superintendent, Dr. Ehren Jarrett, who will grab the reins of the strategic plan and move the “Rocks” forward. Discover Dr. Jarrett’s priorities, meet the rest of the district’s leadership team, and learn about many known and some unknown accomplishments of the Rockford Public Schools and exciting plans for the district in 2013.
We will also hear a brief annual report to the business community from Alignment Rockford, presented by the Reverend K. Edward Copeland, Chair of the Alignment Rockford Governance Council.
