CertifiChecks Gift Certificates No Longer Valid

Dear members,

The Rockford Chamber of Commerce has been notified that CertifiChecks, a third-party company that many chambers, including the Rockford Chamber, use to offer gift certificates, has gone out of business effective February 26, 2009.

According to information posted on www.certifichecks.com

  • the company has ceased operations, and is no longer administering or selling gift certificates. The company is in the process of filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Dayton, Ohio,
  • do not accept CertifiCheck gift certificates,
  • do not deposit CertifiCheck gift certificates as they will be returned,
  • please remove all door and register decals, and
  • if you (or your customers) have CertifiChecks gift certificates that you would like to submit for potential reimbursement, please remit to the address listed below (keep a copy for your records).
