Networking Opportunities
The
Rockford Chamber of Commerce is a powerful network; hosting
more than 20 networking events a year attended by more than
9,000 people. Free for our members, networking takes place
each month morning, afternoon and evening at various
locations throughout the community. Events offer something
for everyone - whether the chance to network, generate
leads, share expertise or develop relationships with other
business people.
Advantage Clubs
Advantage Clubs are made up of business owners, decision makers and sales associates dedicated to networking and referring business to one another. Only one member from each industry is permitted in the group.
During meetings, group members give a self-introduction, the president of the group makes announcements, and other group leaders give reports as needed. A talk is given by a member and referrals/testimonials are passed. These talks are designed to help members better understand each represented company. During the talks, members explain their companies and services, use props or visuals, explain the advantages of doing business with their companies and what types of referrals they are looking for.
Visitors are welcome to attend a meeting before making a decision to join. If you are interested in visiting an Advantage Club, contact information and locations listed to the right.
Other monthly networking events include:

Power up your morning at the Good Morning Rockford!, held once a month at Chamber-member businesses. GMRs run from 7:30 to 9 am, and offer breakfast and refreshments, along with the chance to meet approximately 100 business and community leaders. For information on sponsoring a Good Morning Rockford! event, call Stacy Mullins at 815-316-4302.

Make the evening count at Business After Hours -- the premier monthly business networking event in the Rockford community. Meet and mingle at various locations in the community with 400 to 500 people just like you; eager to find new contacts while strengthening existing business relationships. BAHs also offer fantastic opportunities for sponsors to actively promote their businesses and build goodwill in the business community. If you think networking can't be fun, then you've never been to a Business After Hours! For information on sponsoring a Business After Hours event, call Stacy Mullins at 815-316-4302.
Ribbon Cuttings
Are you a new business in town and a new Chamber member? Have you expanded your company or broke ground on a new location? Host a Chamber ribbon cutting to introduce the business community to your location. Ribbon cuttings can be as simple or as extravagant as you want. Invite friends, customers, clients and the media to your special day. Provide friends and refreshments, and the Chamber provides Ambassadors, the ceremony, ribbon and scissors. For information on hosting a ribbon cutting, call Heidi Garner at 815-316-4312. |
