The Chamber Councils & Committees
It's in working together that we build up the strength of the business community. There's many ways to get involved. The Rockford Chamber of Commerce has six councils that serve different functions and highlight different interest groups. Take a look at how you can get involved. Government Affairs Council
Meets to discuss issues facing the region's business community, advocates on behalf of business with public officials and affects the policy positions taken by the Chamber's board of directors.
Meets: Second Fridays, 7:00 a.m. at Stockholm Inn

Minority Business Council
Hosts monthly meetings designed to share information, discuss best practices, promote collaboration and foster business growth for minority professionals, business owners and managers.
Meets: Fourth Tuesdays, 1:30 p.m. at the Rockford Chamber offices.

Business Education Council
Works to educate members on sound business practices with monthly "Breakfast Buzz" seminars on sales, marketing, human resources and other business-related topics.
Meets: Second Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m. at Woodward Technology Center (RVC). Sponsored by Suby Von Haden

Business Women's Council
Meets monthly to foster networking and education for women in business. Meetings are designed to help women shape their dreams, achieve professional goals and generate positive results in their lives.
Meets: First Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. at Forest Hills Country Club. Sponsored by Rockford Health System

Manufacturers Council
Works to ensure manufacturing continues to play a vital role in the Rockford Region. Hosts manufacturing-related events and works to develop and improve a range of services for existing manufacturers. Open to manufacturers only.

Ambassadors Club
The volunteer arm of the Chamber. Wearing traditional red blazers, Ambassadors serve as mentors to new members, and are active at grand openings, ribbon cuttings, open houses and Chamber events.
